INFORMATION FOR NON-SPECIALISED FREELANCERS

Extra stringent translation/linguistic selection criteria are applied to freelance translators who are not specialised in a particular field.

The most frequently requested languages

• Combinations of Dutch, English, German and French
• Combinations of Dutch or English with Eastern European, Scandinavian or Oriental languages

Requirements

• Linguistic or translation qualification (higher professional education or academic level);
• Extensive translation experience (minimum five years);
• Use of CAT tools is an advantage.

Please submit a copy/scan of a valid VAR together with a copy/scan of your passport (see www.belastingdienst.nl).

Test translations
Once we have assessed your CV and application form we may ask you to provide a test translation. Test translations may be required for every language combination and specialisation you have indicated.
