INFORMATION FOR SPECIALISED MEDICAL, PHARMACEUTICAL, CHEMICAL TRANSLATORS

There is permanent demand for experienced and professional translators who are at home in the medical sector and for translators who are pharmaceutical experts.

Our companies carry out a great deal of work in the fields of human and veterinary medical translations.

Knowledge of the research processes and registration procedures of the FDA and EMEA is an advantage.

There are also many texts on medical devices, ranging from surgical instruments to wound care, handbooks for medical equipment and software.

The most frequently requested languages

  • Combinations of Dutch, English, German and French
  • Combinations of Dutch or English with Eastern European, Scandinavian or Oriental languages

Requirements

  • Linguistic or translation qualification (higher professional education or academic level) and medical and/or pharmaceutical translation experience;
  • Specialist qualification at academic or higher professional level (e.g. doctor, pharmacist, regulatory affairs officer, chemist), preferably combined with translation experience;
  • Extensive medical and/or pharmaceutical translation experience (minimum five years);
  • Use of CAT tools is an advantage.

Once we have assessed your CV and application form we may ask you to provide a test translation. Test translations may be required for every language combination and specialisation you have indicated.
